YOUR "SCHNITTCHEN" DRESS: PRODUCED SUSTAINABLY AND WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE
We believe that the fashion industry is flooding the clothing market with disposable goods. When a garment is worn out, a new one can be bought cheaply. But from an ecological and ethical point of view, this is not justifiable. With the "schnittchen" dress patterns, you can be sure that your clothes are ethically sustainable and fairly produced.
THE DRESS - A SMALL DECLARATION OF LOVE
The dress is a classic in fashion history. The oldest surviving example is the more than 5000-year-old "Tarkhan" dress found in an ancient Egyptian tomb. Carefully woven from linen, with perfectly sewn sleeves, a V-neckline, and fine pleats, the treasure was reserved for the proverbial "well-to-do" at the time.
With her functional women's fashion at the beginning of the 20th century, Coco Chanel waged war on the conventional dress, which allowed little freedom of movement, by cutting airy pants and calf-length skirts. But the dress experienced a triumphant comeback in modern form, especially in the 1950s and 1960s.
So what fascinates us about dresses? At schnittchen patterns, we believe that it gives women an enchantingly beautiful figure, is practical (because you only have to wear one piece) and is suitable for any occasion. Schnittchen says: "We love Dresses".
