About schnittchen – est. 2003
Since 2003 we have been making patterns for (young) creative and fashion-conscious women and selling them through an online store. In the beginning only as printed material, then relatively quickly also as PDF for printing on your own printer.
The focus has always been on uncomplicated, comfortable but fashionable, timeless styles and the belief in a wonderful, sustainable hobby. This vision still accompanies us today – 20 years later.
What’s more: when you sew yourself, you get into doing and feeling, you focus on something real – on a piece of fabric, on your own work. You have it in your hands, the choice of the cut, the quality and color of the fabric, the time that has to be invested, the yarn, the accessories. One part finds another and you create from something two-dimensional something three-dimensional, a homemade unique, which ideally accompanies you for a long time, dresses and decorates.

The most beautiful things are homemade – this not only applies when someone comments on a child’s crafted gift, but also to self-sewn clothes, parkas, or shorts, which are also gorgeous. And the cool feeling of wearing a clothing item created with your own hands and creativity is priceless!
To ensure that your future favorite pieces are not only beautiful but also easy to sew, we have focused on simple patterns and detailed sewing instructions. Additionally, our patterns come in different levels of difficulty, so there is something for both beginners and advanced sewers in our shop.
And for everyone – whether you’re a professional tailor or a sewing rookie – who wants to know exactly how a pattern works, you can find sewing tutorials in the form of photo tutorials in our sewing blog and under sewing instructions for some of our patterns.
