Schnittmuster Parka „Amy“ ist ein cooler gefütterter Oversizemantel mit weit überschnittenen Schultern, einer gemütlichen Kapuze und großen, in Falten gelegten Taschen. Der Zweiwegereißverschluss in der vorderen Mitte wird durch eine Blende verdeckt eingenäht. In den Größen 34 – 46 kann Amy in zwei Längen genäht werden.

Finished the Pinot Noir Raingear project! 😅 It was major let me tell you. Apologies for the not-modelled-by-me shots but Debbie Double was good enough to step in for the moment until I can get to that. I decided not to make you wait longer! There are plenty of wobbles and oopses but with this stuff there are absolutely no do-overs! And surprisingly it turned out exactly as I wanted. Hah! (Pats self on back.)

The jacket is a hacked version of the #peppermintwestendjacket with the snap-off hood hacked from #schnittchenpatterns #amyparka and the pants a slightly hacked version of #munaandbroad #birchgrovepants. The fabulous fabric is from discoveryfabrics and the snaps (and snap setter) from lonsdaleleather. I used nearly the whole package of 25 snaps. Hammer 🔨 time! The seam seal tape was too light of a grey but it was what I had. Not pretty but functional. I used over 15 metres so no damn leaks had better occur!

I used a bucket worth of tools in my construction process. Along with the clips (no pins allowed!) and other regular sewing gear there were punches, setters, anvils, hammer, 4-piece snaps, and 2-piece eyelets. Whew! I tested everything out on scraps before committing to the real thing. Good because I wrecked a couple of snaps learning how much to hammer them! 🫣 Got really comfortable with the procedure at the end. FYI leather snaps are super heavy duty and they work fine for fabrics.

I’m going back to something easier now. But I’m ready for the rain!

This is the second pattern I made for the new #taukomagazine . It`s the YVA skirt and in my story you already can see some beautiful makes ❤️. This skirt pattern is made for stretchy denim but of course you can use other elastic fabric. The skirt hast a quite narrow fit but with a long slit in the front to give you everyday comfort. You even can ride a bike wearing it 🚲.

Matching that, you also get the Swantje Pattern, a bell-shaped skirt that is designed with two dividing seams in the front and in the back. Also the skirt is delicately gathered at the center front.

What a beautiful "GATHERING" issue of @taukomagazine now ready to preorder. Finally I can share it and reveal the precious secret of AINA & YVA, two patterns I designed for TAUKO. AINA is a flattering blouse with short, capped sleeves and an assymmetrical yoke at the back. The front pieces are slightly ruffled and the buttons are concealed. YVA skirt is a close-fitting, but the slit at the front and the stretchy fabric allow you to move around freely.
